I hiked Mount Kenya with Ibrahim and his team. Very very accommodating and helpful with any and all needs. I books the day before and had little to no gear and was given everything I needed for the hike. I would recommend anyone to go with Ibrahim and his company!
This company was recommended to me by Tim Spruel and I was not disappointed. As I am in the older age range and walked very slowly, I appreciated the patience of my guide Anthony particularly on the day of the summit which I found hard going. I was also very well looked after by Joseph the cook and Douglas the porter both were very attentive to my needs. To get me to the top and down was a real team effort and I am so glad I made it. Although I was trekking on my own, I enjoyed meeting up in the evenings with the same people doing the same route and we had a very sociable time. We were a team of three who climbed Mt Kenya, Mwangi and his team were amazing. Every step of the way he made sure we were comfortable, enjoying the hike but most of all healthy. Mwangi and his team ensured we reached the summit and I can't wait to hike Kilimanjaro with him too.
I did the 4-day Mt Kenya trek. The trip was very enjoyable and one of the best experiences i have had. Excellent service from everyone. Anthony, my porter/guide, was very patient with me as i was a bit slow during the hike, Elijah, our chef, cooked very delicious meals always on time and of course very professional service and charismatic nature from Ibrahim who drove us to and from Nanyuki from and to Nairobi. We did a five day trek on Mt Kenya (Lenana Peak) with To Mount Kenya Safaris, as part of a group of 5. We camped one night at Liki Valley in between Mackinders Hut at Old Moses and Shipton's Camp, to reduce the altitude gain. Ibrahim and the rest of the team were excellent. The food was very good and plentiful and the porters were excellent, and there were enough of them to do the job. The trekking is through spectacular terrain, especially when descending down the Chogoria route. We had one night at Chogoria bandas at the end which is worth doing as it is a nice setting and hot showers are available. We recommend the company highly, and the service from start to finish was very professional.
